[When she arrives, Nathaniel has a bottle of whiskey out and two glasses poured. He opens the door for her and gives her a hug, first thing.]

[ She's quick to return the hug, clinging to him tightly for a few moments, then pulling away, only to be able to give him a kiss. It's a more involved kiss than she usually gives--Almost desperate, almost needy, because everything is getting shaken up, and she wants to remember that she has someone there for her, that if she falls, she can rely on someone else to catch her. Maybe it's foolish--a rare sign of weakness from a woman who seemed determined to convince everyone that she'd arm wrestled the arch demon to death by her lonesome. ]

Andraste's ass, Nathaniel, I thought this place was supposed to be relaxing.

[It's still a little strange to kiss her sometimes, stranger than it is to make love to her, but he doesn't flinch. It doesn't feel like a punishment anymore, but instead like plugging something in to recharge.]

I have some news, at least. I've spoken with him a bit. He's not our Alistair. He is a Warden, not a king. Anora rules alone, it seems.

I talked to Alistair. I think...it went pretty well. I tried to act like I didn't know who he was but apparently some people have been chatty about me. :V

...It was nice talking to him like that. Just like normal people.

[ She's not sure if she's just confiding to Nate, or trying to get some advice out of him. Of course, that'd mean revealing her...note entirely truthful aspect of her conversation with Alistair. Which was wrong, and she knew it, and Nate would know it. ]

Nice to meet you Nathaniel. I'm Regent of the Nine Covens of New Orleans and have spent a good portion of my life fighting witches, vampires, werewolves, 1000 year old vampires, and an 1000 year old unkillable vampire-werewolf hybrid - which I won, by the way. Don't underestimate me because I'm a not grizzled old longbow girl.... Or because I'm 5'3".
