He won't deny that it's nice to be able to simply trust someone. Following and knowing that he won't be lead astray, knowing that he can lean into Nate and be supported, makes everything so much better. With Nathaniel around, he's not alone. Now if he could figure out a way to carry Nate with him everywhere...
